Mortgage Fraud Strategy Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Design and deliver of an optimised fraud preventions rule set to drive the most effective use of available Fraud Operations resources
  • Design and deliver a rule performance reporting structure. Results used to drive rule optimisation programme and prioritisation of champion / challenger initiatives.
  • Design and implement a solution that evaluates source of fraud data / tools to assist with strategic planning of future tools.
  • Identify constraints on Strategy Team’s ability to report on rules performance and work with key stakeholders to deliver solutions to overcome.
  • Identify training needs of the Fraud Strategy analysts and working alongside external partners, enhance knowledge base to support delivery of the rules analysis and optimisation programme.
  • Act as lead representative in departmental projects, formulating Fraud Strategy requirements for the development and implementation of new fraud tools.
  • Contribute to recommendations for rules enhancement based on losses identified by Fraud Investigations. Conduct analysis to evaluate the practicality of suggested rule enhancements.
  • Design and manage the testing of changes to fraud rules, setting targets for fraud preventions and tracking benefit post implementation.
  • Understand impact of decisions on customer experience and recognise the need to balance fraud defences with commercial drivers.

EXPERIENCE

You will have:

  • SAS / SQL to expert level
  • Credit Risk / Fraud Analytics experience
  • Experience within a banking/retail finance sector
  • Awareness of fraud systems used within banking sector
  • Very strong analytical skills and experienced in data manipulation
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (or a highly numerate background)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas simply
