Senior Manager, Integration & Planning -Group Risk

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Group Financial Crime & Operational Risk team as the team lead on Integration projects

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships between a wide range of stakeholders whilst being able to provide the appropriate level of challenge, advice and guidance in accordance with the Group Risk PMO framework.

The successful applicant will be a flexible & motivated individual who has the ability to exercise sound judgement, handle a number of diverse initiatives at one time (often to tight deadlines), turn their hand to new issues quickly and represent the views of the leadership team to others. 

Key Accountabilities

Integration

  • Overall delivery of the Group Financial Crime & Operational Risk project portfolio, ensuring initiation, approach and delivery is fit for purpose.
  • Management and control of the overall programme budget.
  • Project mobilisation including development of Business Cases, Project Plans and Governance structures where required.
  •  Oversight and support of project activities, including risk identification, evaluation and management in order to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality expectations, taking pro-active action where deliverables may be at risk.
  • Represent Group Financial Crime & Operational Risk on governance and steering committees as appropriate, including reporting of project status and variances against agreed budget/timelines to stakeholders, and re-forecasting/re-planning where necessary (including managing change requests).
  • Act as a consultant and a point of reference on more complex technical and procedural issues in order to drive project activities forward.

People

  • Lead the people agenda for Financial Crime & Operational Risk, including Colleague Engagement, Risk Capability and Risk Academy.
  • Manage people strategies for the team on behalf of the Group Financial Crime & Operational Risk Director through chairing the People Forum and membership of the Risk Academy Working Party.
  • Lead the development of the team through execution of team events and initiatives that support individual and collective performance, ensuring these meet the current and future needs of the business.

Planning and Budgeting

  • Develop the Group Financial Crime & Operational Risk annual business plan and budget allocation with input from the leadership group.
  • Monitor and reports on progress against plan to executive management throughout the year.
  • Maintain overall sight of the Group Financial Crime & Operational Risk initiative calendar in order to support planning for business impacts.

Technical Support

  • Review of relevant sections of the draft Accounts and Prospectuses on behalf of the Director.
  • Prepare presentations and reports on Financial Crime & Operational Risk as required, e.g. to Risk Management Associations, rating agencies, market analysts and industry, etc on behalf of the Director.
