Quantity Surveyor

An experienced Quantity Surveyor is required to work on various rail and building projects. Reporting to the Commercial Manager and Managing your own team of Quantity Surveyors, you will predominantly be office based overseeing multiple projects, as well as visiting sites when required.

The type of Projects include:

Bridge Refurbishments
Property Refurbishments
Depot Refurbishments
Car Parks
Canopy Replacements
Demolition Works

Responsibilities will include:

Commercially Managing projects from inception to completion
Managing a team of Quantity Surveyors
Assisting with the tendering process ie. Cost planning and negotiation
Working alongside a Project Manager to complete works on time and to budget

Required Experience

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a Quantity Surveyor position, having progressed to Senior QS level, and be content to assist in Estimating. Desirable industry sectors include:
Rail
Civil engineering
Construction/Build

You will be motivated by been part of a successful team along with experience in Cost reporting, tender compilation, procurement processes and measuring rate schedules.
